.As of May 2019 the original stock that were resident have been spurred into competition for food with the new stock and were seeing these fish now gaining weight. The feeding program put in place by the carp lads is paying dividends it would seem. Catch reports are on the up also with more fish out in the first five months than there has been in the last five years (or that's how it feels some of the recent captures coming from all parts of the pond Also as a Mixed Fishery there are plenty of other species of fish to throw a line in the water for. We have had catch reports of Good sized Bream to 14lb Tench to 9lb Perch to 2½lb Eels to 7lb Pike to 20+lb As any decent fishery fish care is priority and it is advisable that a mat is brought with you to protect any of the larger residents that you might just catch and help protect them while they are with you on the bank James with the much sought after fully scaled Mirror 19.06oz named it FULLY

Walton Nature Park
This information is given to make our membership (and future membership) aware
that on the 5th October 2013 the clubs lake and canal within Walton Nature Park suffered a major pollution incident. The club is continuing to work with the site owners Wakefield MDC as well as the Environment Agency who have been closely involved since the incident took place.
It is hoped that once an agreement can be reached with all parties involved, the lake and canal will be re-stocked to levels comparable with those prior to the incident taking place.
Reccomendations were made that a stocking program could be made since the Major Pollution Incident so The club following advice given began Restocking at Walton Nature Park. The club will continue to monitor the health of the Fish
1st stocking 28 Nov 2018 Tench & crucians
2nd Stocking on 26 Jan 2019 bream 1-2½ pound approx 140lb

Aire & Calder Navigation Canal
This is a members only water (book required)
No day tickets available
A hugely prolific water containing Roach, Chub, Bream, Perch and Pike. This water is well known locally for producing large volumes of silver fish on any day of the year.
The stretch of canal has easy access by car and allows for parking on the grassed verges next to all pegs. Please be mindful that no fishing is allowed under or near overhead power lines. Day
Please speak to one of the Bailiffs you will see during the day and also ensure to pick their brains on the best methods to use to ensure you catch more than you thought you would.
